Specimens – The prehistoric specimens used, i.e. shark teeth, magalodon teeth, manatee bone and whale bone are fragile. Remember that bone material is very porous. In the fossilized state, they are about the same strength as glass. Please don’t drop them on a hard surface. This can cause breakage/damage and can’t be repaired other than by gluing. Your jewelry specimen CANNOT be warranted against this.

Materials – Other than the prehistoric specimens used, tom-szabo.com works to use materials that are cost effective for your purchase value. Care is taken use mechanically sound materials. Obviously, the more “dainty” the jewelry design, some mechanical strength is lost. If your lifestyle is such that chain strength and mechanical connections are of concern, please contact Tom directly for help or design changes.

Returns – To insure your satisfaction, it is recognized that some customers may need to return items. Please contact the office within 30 days of purchase to make arrangements for a return. Your return must be in original purchase condition. This way it can be put back in inventory for sale. Damaged product may not be returned – Sorry.

Repairs – We all know that things happen. Should your jewelry need repair, please contact Tom Szabo to make arrangements. Repair costs will be quoted on a case-by-case basis. Every attempt will be made to provide high quality repairs at a reasonable price.

Cleaning – The prehistoric specimens used in Ocean Sands jewelry has be recovered from salt water. So cleaning your specimen in soapy water is no problem. A soft bristle brush or ultrasonic cleaner is recommended for heavily soiled pieces. Lightly dab the specimen to dry.
